What GCash says about gambling transactions
Nowhere in GCash’s own terms and conditions do gambling merchants face a blanket ban; the closest thing on the books targets pyramid and Ponzi schemes. Whatever restrictions exist here trace back to the regulator’s own doing. GCash discontinued the GLife Games top-up and withdrawal feature from 16 August 2025, after BSP Memorandum M-2025-029 of 14 August 2025 gave every BSP-supervised institution 48 hours to clear in-app gambling and gaming links and redirects.
In a separate statement, GCash reports a zero-tolerance policy toward illegal gambling operators and says it has blocked about 3,200 merchants that misused its QR system to send users to illegal gambling and scam sites. Merchants tied to illegal gambling and in-app gaming top-ups are both kept in check by all of that. Nothing here asserts that GCash can fund a licensed casino’s cashier, and nothing here asserts that it cannot.
How fast money actually moves
GCash settles instantly for wallet-to-wallet transfers and InstaPay, same banking day for PESONet transfers, timings set by the underlying rail and not by GCash. That is a statement about the payment rail and says nothing of the casino: before a withdrawal ever gets to GCash, the operator may hold it for its own review, and this review is typically the source of the wait.
A per-transaction cap is not published. None is published for this rail.
