JILIPARK Parlay Meaning: How Legs and Odds Multiply
A parlay joins two or more bets, called legs, into one ticket.
| Fact | Value |
|---|---|
| JILIPARK Handicap Meaning | A handicap gives one side a head start in points or goals so a lopsided match becomes an even contest. |
| JILIPARK Moneyline | A moneyline is a bet on which side wins the match, with no head start. |
| JILIPARK Outrights | Outrights are bets on the final result of a whole competition, such as the winner of a tournament or league, rather than on a single match. |
| JILIPARK Sportsbook Meaning | A sportsbook is the part of a betting service that lists sporting events, sets odds on them and settles the bets. |
Parlay meaning is simple: one ticket, several bets, and every one of them has to win. The odds of the separate bets, called legs, are multiplied together, which is why a small stake can show a large return. For the surrounding topics, read what the JILIPARK Sports pages cover before you build a ticket.
Parlay meaning: legs, multiplied odds, one losing leg
A leg is one selection, such as a team to win or a points line. A parlay with three legs is called a three-leg parlay. You win only when all three win, and you lose when any one loses.
The table uses example decimal odds, not JILIPARK odds, and a stake of PHP 200.
| Leg | Example odds | Running multiple |
|---|---|---|
| Leg 1 | 1.80 | 1.80 |
| Leg 2 | 1.50 | 2.70 |
| Leg 3 | 2.10 | 5.67 |
All three win: 200 x 5.67 = PHP 1,134 returned, which is PHP 934 profit. Leg 2 loses and the other two win: the ticket loses the full PHP 200. A winning leg earns nothing on its own once another leg fails.
Parlay calculator: the arithmetic by hand
You do not need a parlay calculator to check a slip. The steps are short enough to do on paper, and they let you test the combined odds the slip shows.
- Write down the decimal odds of every leg: 1.90, 1.90 and 1.90.
- Multiply them: 1.90 x 1.90 = 3.61, then 3.61 x 1.90 = 6.859.
- Multiply by your stake: PHP 100 x 6.859 = PHP 685.90 returned.
- Subtract the stake: PHP 685.90 - PHP 100 = PHP 585.90 profit.
If a leg is shown in American or fractional odds, convert it to decimal first, as shown on the moneyline payout page. A voided or pushed leg is normally removed and the remaining legs are multiplied, and the bet slip states the rule that applies.
Why more legs lose more often
Each extra leg multiplies the payout and also multiplies the chance of failing. Assume, as an example, that every leg is a coin-flip at 50 percent.
| Legs | Chance all win | Example payout at 1.90 per leg, PHP 100 stake |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | 50% | PHP 190 |
| 2 | 25% | PHP 361 |
| 3 | 12.5% | PHP 685.90 |
| 4 | 6.25% | PHP 1,303.21 |
The payout roughly doubles each time while the chance of winning halves. A bigger ticket is a bigger risk, never a safer route to a bigger result.
NBA parlay
An NBA parlay is a parlay whose legs come from basketball games, for example three winners, or one winner, one points line and one total. The arithmetic is identical. Each leg adds its odds to the running multiple.
Example: a PHP 100 stake on a two-leg ticket with a winner at 1.60 and a points line at 1.90 gives 1.60 x 1.90 = 3.04. A win returns PHP 304. If the winner wins and the points line misses by half a point, you lose PHP 100. Basketball games on the same night start at different times, so a leg can lose while a later game is still to be played, and the ticket is already dead.
Same game parlay
A same game parlay takes all legs from one match, such as a team to win and the total points to go over a number. These legs are linked: a high-scoring game makes the over more likely and also changes who wins. Because of that link, the combined price on the slip can differ from a plain multiplication of the single prices.
- Add the legs from one match to the bet slip.
- Read the combined odds the slip shows, not your own multiplication.
- Check the potential return before you confirm.
- Remember the rule is unchanged: one losing leg loses the ticket.
Building a ticket in the JILIPARK lobby
The lobby has a Sports tab, and BTi is among the vendors listed in the lobby. Which sports, markets, limits and parlay options appear is something you read in that tab and on its bet slip, since it changes by match. A short routine keeps a ticket honest.
- Open the Sports tab and add your first leg.
- Add each further leg and watch the combined odds change.
- Multiply the odds by hand and compare with the slip.
- Confirm only if you accept losing the full stake when one leg fails.
Handicap legs are one common building block, covered in how a handicap line is read. Stake only what you can afford to lose, and only if you are 21 or older.
FAQ
What does parlay mean in betting?
A parlay is one ticket made of several selections called legs. Every leg must win for the ticket to pay, and the combined odds are the odds of all legs multiplied together.
What happens if one leg of a parlay loses?
The whole ticket loses, however many other legs won. That is the price of the larger multiplied payout.
How do I work out a parlay payout by hand?
Multiply the decimal odds of each leg, then multiply the result by your stake. Subtract the stake to see the profit.
Saan ko makikita ang parlay sa JILIPARK?
Buksan ang Sports tab sa lobby, pumili ng mga laban at basahin ang bet slip. Ipinapakita ng slip ang combined odds at ang posibleng return bago ka mag-confirm.
