JILIPARK Moneyline: Turn Any Odds Format Into a Payout

A moneyline is a bet on which side wins the match, with no head start.

JILIPARK Handicap MeaningA handicap gives one side a head start in points or goals so a lopsided match becomes an even contest.
JILIPARK OutrightsOutrights are bets on the final result of a whole competition, such as the winner of a tournament or league, rather than on a single match.
JILIPARK Parlay MeaningA parlay joins two or more bets, called legs, into one ticket.
JILIPARK Sportsbook MeaningA sportsbook is the part of a betting service that lists sporting events, sets odds on them and settles the bets.

A moneyline is a bet on who wins the match, with no head start and no points adjustment. The confusing part is the odds: the same price can appear as +150, 2.50 or 3/2. Start with JILIPARK sports basics for the wider setting, then use the steps below to read any price.

Moneyline meaning: pick the winner

Moneyline meaning is the plainest in betting. You pick a side, and the bet wins if that side wins. The price attached to it decides the payout.

Some sports have a draw. In those the winner market may offer three outcomes, and a draw loses a bet on either team. The bet slip lists the outcomes, so read it before you stake.

Sport typeOutcomes on the winner marketExample result for a bet on the home side
No draw (basketball)Home, awayHome wins: bet wins
Draw possible (football)Home, draw, away1-1 draw: bet loses

One price, three formats

Odds formats are three ways of writing the same payout. The table shows the same price on a PHP 500 stake. All figures are examples, not JILIPARK odds.

FormatWritten asProfit on PHP 500Total returned
Decimal2.50PHP 750PHP 1,250
Fractional3/2PHP 750PHP 1,250
American+150PHP 750PHP 1,250
Decimal1.50PHP 250PHP 750
American-200PHP 250PHP 750

Use the conversion rules to move between them.

  1. Decimal to profit: stake x (odds - 1). For 2.50 on PHP 500, 500 x 1.50 = PHP 750.
  2. Fractional to profit: stake x (top / bottom). For 3/2, 500 x 1.5 = PHP 750.
  3. Positive American: stake x (number / 100). For +150, 500 x 1.5 = PHP 750.
  4. Negative American: stake x (100 / number). For -200, 500 x 0.5 = PHP 250.

Fix a common misread

Problem

You see -150, expect a big return, and get a small one

Fix

A minus number shows how much you must stake to win 100, so it describes a favourite and a short price. At -150, a PHP 300 stake wins PHP 200, and the total returned is PHP 500. Convert it to decimal (100 / 150 + 1 = 1.67) before comparing it with other prices.

NBA moneyline

An NBA moneyline is a bet on which basketball team wins the game, overtime included. Basketball has no draw, so there are only two outcomes. Because one side is usually stronger, the prices are uneven.

Example game, labelled as an example: Team A at -180 and Team B at +150.

BetStakeIf it winsTotal returned
Team A -180PHP 360Profit PHP 200PHP 560
Team B +150PHP 100Profit PHP 150PHP 250

The favourite wins more often and pays less. Team B has the better price per peso and the lower chance. The price is a statement of probability, never a promise of a result.

Where moneyline bets sit in the lobby

The JILIPARK lobby has a Sports tab, and BTi is among the vendors listed in the lobby. Which sports, markets, limits and odds format you get is shown only in that tab, so open a match and read the bet slip.

  1. Open the Sports tab and choose a match.
  2. Pick the side you expect to win.
  3. Read the odds format, then convert it with the steps above.
  4. Compare your own figure with the return the slip shows.
  5. Confirm only when the two agree.

If you want a head start instead of a straight winner, see how a handicap line is read. To bet on a whole competition, read what outrights are and how they pay. You must be 21 or older to play, and you should bet only what you can afford to lose.

FAQ

What is a moneyline bet?

A moneyline bet is a pick on who wins the match outright. No points are added or taken away, so the only question is the winner.

What do +150 and -200 mean on a moneyline?

+150 means a PHP 100 stake wins PHP 150. -200 means you must stake PHP 200 to win PHP 100. The plus side is the underdog, the minus side the favourite.

How do I convert American odds to decimal?

For a plus number, divide by 100 and add 1, so +150 becomes 2.50. For a minus number, divide 100 by the number and add 1, so -200 becomes 1.50.

Anong odds format ang gamit sa JILIPARK Sports?

Buksan ang Sports tab at basahin ang bet slip. Doon makikita ang format at ang return bago ka mag-confirm.
